Metallurgical Grade | Muslim Bagh & Balochistan
What is Pakistan Chromite Ore? Chromite Ore sourced from Pakistan is a high-grade industrial mineral known for its premium quality, specifically metallurgical grade | muslim bagh & balochistan. Indus Minerals exports this material in bulk via Karachi Port to markets including China, South Korea, Japan, UAE, Oman.
Indus Ores, Minerals & Resources is a leading supplier of high-grade Muslim Bagh Chromite Ore. Sourced from the prestigious mineral-rich belts of Balochistan, our metallurgical grade ore is globally recognized for its high Cr2O3 content and extremely favorable Chromium-to-Iron (Cr:Fe) ratios, making it the preferred choice for stainless steel smelters worldwide. We ensure that every shipment of Balochistan Chromite meets tight technical specifications.
Indus Minerals is actively commissioning a dedicated gravity beneficiation facility in KPK. Utilizing indigenous KPK feed ore, the facility grades up domestic feed into Standard Metallurgical Grade Concentrate (38%–44% Cr₂O₃, with exact assay certified post-commissioning) tailored for ferrochrome smelters.

Muslim Bagh Chromite from Balochistan is highly rated by international smelters for its excellent Chromium-to-Iron (Cr:Fe) ratio, which often exceeds 2.5:1, making it highly efficient for ferrochrome and stainless steel production.
The primary and highest-grade chromite deposits are located in Balochistan, specifically in the Muslim Bagh, Zhob, and Khuzdar districts. Chromite in Pakistan is also found in parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Overall, the chromite ore Pakistan offers is globally recognized for its high quality.
In addition to our primary lump sorting operations in Balochistan, Indus Minerals is actively commissioning a modern Chromite Beneficiation Plant in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) with a monthly design capacity of 2,000 MT. The plant utilizes indigenous KPK feed ore to produce upgraded metallurgical grade chromite concentrate engineered specifically for ferrochrome smelters.
Every export lot is sampled directly at our Karachi warehouse and container stuffing terminal by internationally accredited inspection agencies—typically SGS, Alfred H. Knight (AHK), or Intertek. Final Commercial Invoices and Letters of Credit (L/C) are settled strictly against the independent Certificate of Sampling and Analysis (COA).
Standard export is executed in 20ft heavy-duty sea containers lined with industrial polyethylene, carrying 27 to 28 Metric Tons per container. We execute contracts under Incoterms 2020 including FOB Karachi Port / Port Qasim and CFR / CIF to major hubs including Tianjin, Qingdao, Shanghai, Busan, and Jebel Ali.

High Cr:Fe Ratio (2.6:1 - 2.8:1 min): Minimizes iron dilution in the molten bath, allowing stainless steel and ferrochrome producers to achieve higher chromium recovery with lower electrical power consumption per ton.
Negligible Trace Harmfuls: With Phosphorus restricted below 0.005% and Sulfur below 0.010%, Pakistani chromite eliminates the risk of hot-shortness and brittle defects in high-tensile austenitic stainless steels.
Natural High Refractoriness: Balanced MgO and Al₂O₃ content yields refractory bonding suitable for cement rotary kiln linings and ladles up to 1,750°C.
